This set is ready to paint. I purchased this set, completed the cleaning and firing in the early 1990's and simply never got around to completing it. The original set included a cat and dog, and two pet dishes, which I no longer have.
The pictures include a screenshot of the original Dona's catalog page showing the suggested color scheme.
Pieces are in good condition and ready to paint.
I would recommend wiping each piece down with a splash of white vinegar in water, as this will remove any remaining firing dust and prepare the surface for painting.
